Bar and Billet Inspection System

According to the inspection needs of the industry, Blue Star E&E provides customised and automated bar and billet inspection systems using both conventional and phased array technologies. The inspection systems are offered for bar size ranges of T1, T2 and T4, covering bar diameters in the range of 10mm to 200mm, length from 3m to 7m and with scanning speeds up to 2m/s. The company has a wide installation base for NDT systems with a large number of repeat orders. The system is based on a unique ‘floating head’ concept for a constant and optimal positioning of probes, independent of the straight variations of the bars. These systems are suitable for round and square bars, carbon steel and stainless steel grades as well as black bars and peeled/bright bars. They are designed to inspect a wide range of bars and billets, ranging from 10mm to 200mm for round diameters and from 20mm to 254mm for square ones.

  • High-speed inspections (up to 2m/s depending on the diameter size)

T4 Bars

  • Section range: 60-250mm

  • 32 phased array probes in total
