Rockwell Hardness Testing Machines

The Rockwell hardness test method consists of indenting the test material with a diamond cone or hardened steel ball indenter. The indenter is forced into the test material under a minor preliminary load and the permanent effect is studied to know the hardness of the sample material.

The Rockwell hardness test method, as defined in ASTM E-18, is the most widely used hardness test method. Rockwell test is easier to execute and more accurate than other types of hardness testing methods. The Rockwell test method is used on all type of materials, except in conditions like highly uneven structure or surface, too large indentations for the application or prohibition from the sample size or sample shape.

Rockwell Testers come in a wide range of models depending on their operations and a variety of test forces they can apply during tests. These testers provide accurate results even after rough handling of test tables or test pieces. This ensures a trouble-free long-life machine accuracy. All the models conform to respective standards as listed below.

Analogue Rockwell Testers are manually operated testers for Rockwell Hardness Tests. The test force selection is done by an external dialing and it comes with an auto zero setting dial gauge. The testers can apply forces with the magnitude listed below.

Digital Rockwell Testers are motorised testers for Rockwell Hardness Tests. They provide automatic operation cycles that include load, dwell & unload, which would save time for the operators. The test force selection is done by an external dialing and it comes with an LCD display. The testers can apply forces with the magnitude listed below.

 Rockwell cum Brinell Hardness Testers:

Rockwell cum Brinell Hardness Testers are manually operated testers for Rockwell and Brinell Hardness Tests. The test force selection is done by an external dialing and is available with an auto zero setting dial gauge for analogue machines and an LCD display for digital ones. For measuring Brinell hardness either hand-held Brinell microscope or BIAS are offered. The testers can apply forces with the magnitude listed below.
