The central air conditioning and commercial refrigeration major, Blue Star Limited has reported a Net Profit of Rs.6.77 crores from Total Income of Rs.227.84 crores for the first half of FY 2000-2001.

These results do not include the income from software services which has been spun off into a separate company, Blue Star Infotech Limited. In comparison with the previous year, excluding the software business, Operating Income is up by 13%, while Net Profit has grown by 127%.

The Company has strengthened its leadership position in its core air conditioning and refrigeration businesses, by gaining market shares in most of the segments in which it operates. The order inflow during the first six months has recorded a healthy growth of 27% in comparison with the previous year.
